The Goonies Mobile Slots
A nostalgic 1980s movie themed slot from the minds of Blueprint Gaming featuring five reels, three rows and twenty fixed paying lines. The inspiration for this adventurous Mobile Slots is the 1985 film of the same name, which means that it belongs in the ‘TV and Movies’ genre. There are six bonus features and a set of reel modifiers to make every spin exciting. This slot is best played here at Amigo Slots, where we have hundreds of incredible slots on offer to players including Starburst, Chilli Heat, the original Rainbow Riches and Fluffy Favourites.

Whether or not you're familiar with the inspiration behind this slot will depend on how you respond to someone shouting ‘HEY YOU GUYS!, or being asked to do the truffle shuffle. If neither of those things means anything to you, then you've either never seen ‘The Goonies,' or you saw it so long ago that you can no longer remember any of it. For the over 30s out there, seeing ‘The Goonies' was probably an essential part of your childhood.
Game Summary
To briefly summarize, the plot of the film saw a gang of children on an epic adventure that took them to a pirate ship underground, while trying to stop an evil company from demolishing their family homes. It sounds crazy when you read it, but it was thrilling and hilarious at the time! The pirate ship the kids encountered was, of course, full of pirate gold. What self-respecting pirate ship wouldn’t be?
Winning a share of that gold is one of the objectives of this slot, which goes the extra mile to be worthy of its movie tie-ins. The bonus features carry the bulk of the material from the film, and we’ll come to them shortly. The base game is a simple and colorful affair, taking place on a colorful and sharp-looking treasure map. The visuals in this part of the slot feel slightly lacking, but the soundtrack comes straight from the movie and more than makes up for them.
On the reels, the symbols with the least worth are J, Q, K, and A. If you really want a cut of pirate booty you'll be wanting to see a set of scales (used to measure gold), a skeleton, a pirate ship, a treasure chest and a ‘Jolly Roger' skull and crossbones symbol, which stacks.
There is a wild in the slot, and it comes in the form of a silver coin. That can substitute for any symbol other than the scatter, which is the skeleton of poor old One-Eyed Willy himself (the former owner of the pirate ship).
Bonus Features
Bonus features in the Goonies come in one of two forms; those which trigger at random, and those which are triggered by finding the scatter/bonus symbol in the base game. We’ll deal with the scatter-triggered bonuses first. You’ll need at least three of the scatters anywhere on the reels to get things started. When you’ve achieved that, you can take a spin of the ship’s wheel to decide which bonus you’ll be playing. It will be one of the following options.
Skeleton Organ is a simple prize-picker round. You simply keep selecting from the options presented to you to discover multipliers or access to other bonus features. You can keep on choosing until you find three matching skull-and-crossbones symbols, which ends this round.
The Fratelli Hideout feature works on a similar basis. You have a set of keys to choose from. Some of them give you cash prizes. Some of them start one of the other bonus features. One of them will end the round as soon as you find it.
Goonies Go Wild is a free spins feature in which one of the slot’s higher value symbols becomes a second wild. Some copper pots are presented to you after each spin, which you must choose from. One of them will grant more free spins. One of them will take you to another bonus feature. The other will end the round.
Super Sloth opens up a whole new set of reels, upon which all of the symbols are based on the Fratellis (a family from the movie) apart from the Super Wild, which is based on the character of Sloth. Spins in this round are free, and after each one, you're provided an identical set of options as to those in the Goonies Go WIld feature.
Inferno Free Spins is yet another free spins round in which anywhere between one and three reels will become completely wild on every spin. This is, therefore, a potentially big-money feature for players! The options to continue or exit the feature are as described above in the other free spins rounds.
The most desirable bonus feature in this slot is One-Eyed Willy's Treasure Bonus. This feature will start automatically if you land five scatters at once, or access it through one of the other bonus features. In this round, you collect multiplier upon multiplier, with your cash prize increasing rapidly until a booby trap brings the round to an end, and your cash is paid out.
That’s a lot of bonus features, but there are also the reel modifiers to think about too! They can happen at random on any spin, which means you should always be on the lookout for the following effects.
Mikey’s Hidden Riches can turn any reel completely wild at random.
Truffle Shuffle Wilds adds additional wild symbols to the reels.
Mouth’s Lucky Coins add new gold coin symbols to the reels, which then become matching symbols when the spin is complete.
Data’s Colossal Symbol turns three neighboring reels into one giant symbol, almost guaranteeing a win.
Sloth’s Win Spin simply guarantees you an immediate large cash payout for no reason. Nice!
One-Eyed Willy’s Bonus Boost adds additional scatters to the reels, meaning you have more chance of finding your way into one of the regular bonus features.
With so much going on, there’s always something to play for in the Goonies slot. It’s fun even if you’ve never seen the movie in your life.
About the Mobile Slots Developer - Blueprint Gaming
Blueprint Gaming are movie-license specialists. The British development team, based in Newark, have also created the official slots of ‘Ted Mobile Slots Game', ‘Mars Attacks!', ‘Austin Powers', ‘Spinal Tap,' and many more - and that's not even factoring in their licensed TV slots or their many slots which are completely original creations!
Their parent company is based in Germany, and have been producing physical casino wares including slot machines since 1957. The Gauselmann Group created Blueprint because they wanted a new brand to handle their online output, and also because they wanted to expand into the UK market. Despite being owned outright by Gauselmann, Blueprint is believed to have total autonomy and are free to develop their slots any way they see fit to. Given the incredible graphical quality of all of their slots, it's easy to see why. Every Blueprint slot is packed to the brim with bonuses and quirks, and they always look great.
